WW1 ‘Lights Out’

Did you take part in the national act of commemoration on Monday August 4th?

‘LIGHTS OUT’ was an invitation to everyone in the UK to turn off their lights from 10pm till 11pm, leaving on a single light or candle for a shared moment of reflection. The darkened landscape of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland would then mark the hour that Britain entered World War 1 exactly 100 years ago.

Full details of the national plans can be downloaded here.
